Photo Andreas Stöhr

Andreas Stöhr received the Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering from Gerhard-Mercator-University Duisburg (GMUD), Germany, in 1991 and 1997, respectively. Since 1995 he is a staff member of the Optoelectronics Department at GMUD. In 1998 and 1999 he joined the Communications Research Laboratory (CRL), Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Japan. His current research interests include the design and fabrication photonic components as well as microwave/millimeter-wave fiber-optic transmission systems and THz photonics. He has published more than 70 papers in refereed journals and conferences. Dr. Stöhr received the 1997 Annual Award from the Duisburger Universitätsgesellschaft (DUG). He has been a member of the Technical Program Committee and Organizing Committee for several international conferences. Dr. Stöhr is a member of the IEEE Laser and Electro-Optic (LEOS) and the Microwave Theory and Techniques Societies (MTT). He is further development chair of the IEEE German LEOS.
